Eliot is a warm and dynamic congregation of the United Church of Christ (UCC), located in Newton Corner, near all points in Newton as well as Brighton and Watertown. We are a community of believers, seekers and questioners devoted to being on a faith journey together.
Eliot strives to weave service and advocacy into the fabric of all we do as a community of faith. By doing so we hope to cultivate an awareness that doing justice, serving others and working for change in our world is a central part of being a Christian.
We cherish our children and youth, and dedicate many resources in providing multiple opportunities for education, spiritual formation, and Christian growth. We also treasure music and the arts as pathways to grow in communion with God and with each other.
Eliot is an Open and Affirming Church, believing that ALL people are children of God. We recognize, celebrate and give thanks for the rich diversity and boundless gifts of all God's children.
We invite those of every race, religious background, age, ability, gender, sexual orientation, and economic condition to join us in the full life and ministry of Eliot Church.
