Unique in Worship, United in Faith
“The United Church of Christ affirms the responsibility of the Church in each generation to make this faith its own in reality of worship, in honesty of thought and expression, and purity of heart before God.”
– Preamble of the UCC Constitution
At the heart of our worship is our United Church of Christ’s belief in the autonomy of the Local Church. You will find spiritual practices and themes in our services that are like many other UCC communities and Christian faith communities, and some that are uniquely ours!
Our Worship Service Practices
During worship, we bring ourselves into the presence of God through song, praise, and prayer. Accompanied by our wonderful choir singers, we lift up our voices to sing our praises to God, and we listen to our ancient scriptures and sermons that inspire us to live out a good life in this world. Upon entering our sanctuary, a greeter will hand out a program that guides you through the whole service.
Services will always include hymns, scripture, a sermon, prayers of the people, an offering time, and benediction.
On the first Sunday of the month, we celebrate Holy Communion during worship – an ancient ritual during which we remember the last supper that Jesus had with his disciples. We continue this ancient practice by breaking bread and sharing wine (grape juice) together. All are welcome to the Table.
During the service, we also maintain the ancient practice of receiving support through the congregation for our work at the church. This support is visible through your personal skills and gifts, and also financially. We thank you for your generosity!
Note that our worship services in the sanctuary are always recorded live with our cameras. Generally, church attendants are NOT visible during the worship service
God is Still Speaking
We believe that God is present in our world. In worship, you will hear themes of inclusivity, faith in action, humanity, diversity, hope, justice, peace, and love. We often talk about the role of the Church, the importance of reflecting on the impact of scripture, and the role of relationships with each other.
Online Worship
We livestream our services weekly on our Facebook and YouTube channels! Our services are recorded, too, which means you can watch our services or go back to a favorite sermon or hymn of yours, anytime!

Join our Worship Team!
Worship is collective. We uplift the priesthood of all believers within the UCC, meaning that we believe everyone is invited to lead and participate in our worship services and in community. We always encourage participation and conversation within worship.
